With over 28 years of floral industry experience and an active member of NACE, Tom’s commitment to clients and the industry sets him apart from other vendors. Tom’s enthusiasm for the floral industry began at a young age as he demonstrated his entrepreneurial skills in a retail flower shop, Covello’s Creations, which he owned and operated for eight years.

Continuing education, knowledge and expertise in current trends, and a constant desire to surpass himself time and again places Tom high above other designers. Tom annually attends “The Special Event,” an industry trade show and educational showcase. At the “World Floral Expo,” Tom endlessly searches for premium flowers from the world’s finest growers. NACE, the National Association of Catering Executives, allows Tom prime networking opportunities with over 200 industry colleagues.

Tom’s accomplishments in the industry include vast corporate and hotel décor, extensive experience in wedding and party decorating, instruction in floral design, and board membership in various industry related associations. He displayed his true “red, white, and blue” during the 2000 Republican National Convention, designing over 500 table settings, stage, and buffet arrangements for eight different events. Tom has been a major exhibitor at the Philadelphia Flower Show, as well as a contributing member of the design team for the Miss America Pageant. Through contracts with event planners and venues, Tom has designed flowers for Presidents and celebrities alike.

Celebrations Design Group has been featured on the covers of VIP Weddings and Mid-Atlantic Events magazines. Tom has also been published in My Wedding magazine and spotlighted in a feature article in Delaware Today magazine. Having already been featured in The Knot magazine, Tom’s designs will again be highlighted in a future issue.

Tom’s zeal and passion for floral design is evident in every bud, stem, and final flourish contained in his work. His second passion, stage performance, has further enhanced his understanding of the importance capturing the full essence and meaning of every special event.
